It’s pumpkin patch time! I can’t wait to head out to the patch this weekend and let the kids run wild searching for their favorite pumpkin. I plan to find the least attractive one to bring home. I always feel bad for the ones left behind… someone needs to bring them home, right? I’ll let you know what we find π
Justin has been out of town again this week, so this weekend will be welcomed with open arms (once again)! Bring on the down time!
Please enjoy some of the most fantastic online finds as we head into the weekend. Click the blue βFantasticβ link to go directly to the source page.
Fantastic Style: As I mentioned earlier this week, Justin and I are heading to Denver in a few weeks for a wedding. I love celebrity airport style and feel like I might have a chance with this guide. (You see, I’m rather tragic when it comes to fashion!)
Fantastic Find: How cute! Everyone from the DeMo should totes own one, right? Now for an Omaha and Boston one π
Fantastic Cheat Sheet: I am one who makes the terrible mistake of using the wrong onion. I try, I really do, but sometimes I just want to use what we have on hand. Here is your official cheat sheet for how, when, where, why to use different onions!
Fantastic Health Halloween Treat: I am kind of hoping I have school snack duty the week of Halloween now π You can make anything healthy and fun with a little thought!
Fantastic Accessories: This site is just darling for little girl accessories – leg warmers, scarves, and socks. Little girls can get away with rocking any look, can’t they?
Fantastic (augh) Chart: Most of us are aware there is a revolving door between the FDA (and many other government agencies) and bio tech companies. Here is a peek at the cross-over between Monsanto and the FDA specifically.
Fantastic Recreations: I died laughing at these pictures! How incredible to recreate hilarious pictures from your childhood with siblings, parents, cousins, etc. I think I could pull some out of the vault for my cousin’s, brother, and I to recreate. It would probably involve them terrorizing me and me with my dukes up…
Fantastic Superheros: I wish I could sew more than a straight line… I wish I could sew more than a straight line… I wish I could sew more than a straight line…
Fantastic Decoration: The pumpkin patch is calling our name! Finn has been excited to carve one after seeing the process in a magazine this week. What a fun way to change up the pumpkin faces!
Fantastic Truth: If only this could be all our attitude all the time. Serve others. Love others. Spread the love…
Have a fantastic weekend!
We are visiting the pumpkin patch this weekend too!!!! Awesome idea for pumpkins! Totally doing it!
Yes! Let’s start a trend…. no lumpy guys left behind!
I started reading your blog a few months ago (found through your SIL), and I absolutely love it! I’ve noticed a lot of Boston references, and as someone who grew up in Cambridge and live in the city now, I kinda love it – how come you guys are such big fans?!
Welcome π I madly love your city and claim it (just a little bit) as mine, too!
My dad is the oldest of 8 – Irish Catholic family – and grew up just outside Boston. Most our family (lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, my grandma) still live in and around the area. We used to go to Cape Cod every summer, too. Haven’t been in 2 summers now and am dying to cross that bridge again soon.
LOVE Cambridge! My cousin recently graduated from Harvard and another from BC. One aunt (married into our crew) grew up in Arlington, just a few towns away from you. Great city all around!
What a small world! My mom is also one of 8 – Irish Catholic of course – and we were both lucky enough to grow up right outside Harvard Square!
Most of my family is still in the Boston area, though we have lost a few to other states and countries (I have about 32 first cousins and we’re all very close and hang out all the time, which to me seems totally normal but I realize is completely insane!). I have a few cousins who live on the Cape, which is awesome when the summer rolls around! I even went to high school in Arlington, Arlington Catholic, so I’ve probably crossed paths with your family at some point!
I’ll keep enjoying all your Boston references, and hopefully you can make it to the Cape for a visit very soon! For now, at least you can enjoy our wicked awesome sports teams! π
Small world! I love all the connections!
And 32 first cousins!?!?! I love it! Only big families get that having that many cousins IS totally normal. You are so lucky to have most of them close!
Our family is an Archbishop Williams crew π
