Juice: Carrot Craze

We’ve been talking a lot about juice the last few weeks in our Juicing 101 series:

What’s To Come
What is Juicing
What Can I Juice
Choosing a Juicer
What’s the Time Commitment

Why not get cracking on some juicing?!

Carrot Craze

Today’s juice is very simple. It’s a great “beginner” juice for someone new to juicing or who just needs a simple juice to get out the door.

These are staples we often use in juice that, on their own, are amazing. These 3 simple ingredients make a fantastic, easy-to-drink juice.

I like this blend most because it’s a great balance. It’s not overly sweet, but it also doesn’t taste like you’re drinking tree bark. And if you’re not used to juice, you might think some of the juices I make now taste like tree bark.  Or so says a friend who I forced to drink a really heavy vegetable-based juice last week. Can you believe it? Tree bark! The nerve! ;)

The staples: carrots, celery and an apple. Easy peasy!

I hope you are all feeling good. Glad that Evie is getting better. That was quite the ordeal for your family. I’m glad that your mom was able to connect the dots!

Thanks for the juicing topic. I am loving it!
Want a juice to get you going? Try this one. It’s kinda potent!

    1 cucumber (I don’t peel mine, it’s organic)
    1 head of romaine
    6 celery stalks
    2 tomatoes
    1 red pepper
    2 lemons, skin removed
    1 bundle of parsley
    2 small red onions
1 avocado (Do not add to your juicer)

Juice all of the ingredients but do not juice the avocado. Pour the juice into a blender. Add the avocado to the juice. Mix well and enjoy!

I got this recipe from the Juice With Drew web site.
This stuff is addictive!! And be sure to grow mint this year in your garden because mint is great in juices!

Remember that if you eat too many carrots, your skin will start to turn orange!

    Happy juicing!!
