“It Hasn’t Been Proven Dangerous”

I’m simultaneously amazed and disgusted at the endless ways the American food industry puts the health and wellbeing of its customer in dire jeopardy for their bottom line. And yet, I’m not surprised. Our system is shattered and corrupt.

This video is a must watch if you answer ‘yes’ to any of the following. You:
1. have a child.
2. plan to have a child.
3. know someone with a food allergy.
4. have a food allergy.
5. suspect a food allergy.

Did I cover everyone? Excellent. Now invest 18 minutes. Call me if you’re still trying to pick your jaw up in 20 minutes and that stirring in your gut will not settle.

Having a son with food allergies, I can’t begin to tell you how outraged this makes me. Once you know this information, you can’t unlearn it. I challenge you to do something about it for yourself and for your family and share it with others.

In our household, this isn’t new information. It simply confirms even more our desire to eat whole, real, organic food. That said, this challenges me to go to the next level. Knowing what I know, I can’t – in good faith – do anything other.

I’d love to learn from you. What has flipped your world upside down about the food industry, health or nutrition?

You absolutely need to watch the documentary “Bag It” about plastic in the environment and what it does to our bodies!

Thanks for sharing this video. We watched “Food Inc.” about 2 months ago, and I have been unable to forget the unsettling feeling I had from that as well.

King Corn, (http://www.pbs.org/independentlens/kingcorn/), available at some public libraries, is a great documentary about corn in our food supply. This movie is also interesting for those who try to limit HFCS (high fructose corn syrup)in your diet.
